Fox News Poll: Palin Going (Not So) Rogue
SLIDESHOW: Sarah Palin 'Going Rogue' Tour

As both Kevin K. and Dave Weigel noted earlier today, Sarah Palin angered and disappointed fans in Noblesville, Indiana yesterday when she abruptly left a book signing promotion even though there were many fans still waiting in line to receive her signature on their newly purchased copies of Going Rogue.

Here’s a video compilation of reaction from fans stiffed by Palin broadcast by local Indiana news outlets:

Don't Arizonans know that he's a war hero?

Senator John McCain’s future in the U.S. Senate may be a little less assured than previously thought.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely 2010 Republican Primary voters in Arizona finds the longtime incumbent in a virtual tie with potential challenger J.D. Hayworth. McCain earns 45% of the vote, while Hayworth picks up 43%.

Palin: 'I made mistakes'
From Politico.com
Today 10:00 AM - 3 views
Sarah Palin acknowledges some culpability for her damaging interview with CBS’s Katie Couric.

Hey, if Fox News can edit footage to fit its narrative, I guess YouTubers can too. Watch, AFTER THE JUMP... (via boy culture)

How much would you pay to watch Sarah Palin beat the stuffing out of Andrew Sullivan? What would Barack Obama’s official Kenyan birth certificate be worth to you? How about a videotape proving that Bill Ayers not only wrote Dreams from My Father, but also translated it from the original Russian? How about a new Christmas CD with Robert Byrd singing all of his Yuletide favorites (“I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas,” “I’m Dreaming of an Even Whiter Christmas,” etc)? What would you pay for a DVD of John Kerry saying “Do you know who I am?” one time too many at a biker bar?

Alas, I can’t promise to deliver any of those things any more than I can immanentize the eschaton or hold more than 46 Cheetos in my mouth at any one time.

Friday opinion, and as you might expect...

Eugene Robinson:

Everyone knows that the bloodthirsty blowhard -- whom officials often refer to by his initials, KSM -- is never going to see the light of day. The uproar is really about the word "war." Outrage is being voiced by those who worry that Holder and President Obama are abandoning the Bush-era doctrine of a "war on terrorism" that must at all times be conducted by military means...

Palin embraced in Indiana GOP hub
From Politico.com

More than 1,000 people queue up outside a Borders bookstore.

Harry Reid offers the nation a mephitic Senate health-care bill that retains the worst features of Nancy Pelosi’s creation and adds fresh horrors of its own: It will force Americans to finance abortions and jack up some Americans’ Medicare taxes by 34 percent. On paper, the House bill costs a little more than $1 trillion, the Senate bill a little less than $1 trillion; more realistic estimates, minus the congressional accounting chicanery, put the price tag of each closer to $2 trillion over the first ten years of implementation. With trillions of dollars on the line -- along with the excellence of our health care and the energy of our economy -- Americans’ eyes must turn to Sen. Blanche Lincoln, who has the opportunity to stop this bill from going to the Senate floor for advancement. If there is only scant chance of that happening, that tells us something about the real commitment of these vaunted moderates and the price at which they may be bought off.

Slate magazine is just one of the countless media outlets convulsing with St. Vitus’ Dance over that demonic succubus Sarah Palin. In its reader forum, The Fray, one supposed Palinophobe took dead aim at the former Alaska governor’s writing chops, excerpting the following sentence from her book:

“The apartment was small, with slanting floors and irregular heat and a buzzer downstairs that didn’t work, so that visitors had to call ahead from a pay phone at the corner gas station, where a black Doberman the size of a wolf paced through the night in vigilant patrol, its jaws clamped around an empty beer bottle.”

Another day, another:

... literal manifestation of what we feel is the metaphorical methodology of the entire Fox network. Which of course is the subtle altering of reality to sell a preconceived narrative.

That was how Jon Stewart described the "inadvertent mistake" Sean Hannity made when he had footage from Glenn Beck's September 12th rally spliced onto footage from a different teabagger protest to pump up the attendance. And now we have this, courtesy of Think Progress:
